Yazaki, the world’s largest automotive wiring supplier, needed to replace an aging lab management process at its Canton, Michigan testing center. With 2,000–3,000 engineering requests a year and heavy reliance on Excel and manual approvals, the team turned to Mendix and Siemens Opcenter RD&L to create a more modern, intuitive way to manage testing requests.

Mendix helped Yazaki build the new Yazaki Testing Portal in just six months, delivering a single system for end-to-end request tracking, in-app approvals, notifications, role-based access, and file management. The portal launched on time in April 2024 with minimal training, eliminated Excel-based work, improved user experience, and increased efficiency across Yazaki’s testing centers.
