Tech lead Marieke Dijksma used Mendix low-code to build HeadsUpp in a single workweek (~28 hours). The app lets employees indicate their office days, notifies coworkers, and highlights less crowded days; it integrates with Octo’s Redshift data, saves office managers an estimated four hours weekly, accelerates time-to-market, and provides an accessible gateway to Octo’s broader smart-building offerings while improving workplace safety.
