How Credsystem Uses Microservices to Drive Business Growth and Scale Financial Solutions

Credsystem, a Brazilian financial services company that has issued more than 40 million credit cards, faced a major challenge with an outdated monolithic legacy system that limited innovation, scalability, and compliance in a rapidly growing digital payments market. To modernize its IT infrastructure and support faster growth, Credsystem partnered with Mendix and TrueChange, using Mendix’s low-code platform for microservices, cloud, and mobile development.

Mendix helped Credsystem replace legacy systems with scalable applications for credit card inquiries, transactions, and digital card management. The results were significant: a specialized Mendix team became up to four times more efficient, Credsystem has built over 75 applications and nearly 100 microservices applications internally, and it now handles more than 120 million transactions annually while improving user experience, reducing operational overhead, and staying compliant with financial regulations.
