Eurofiber, a growing Netherlands-based fiber-optic network provider serving the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, faced a shift to a high-volume, lower-deal-size telecom market that increased sales-support costs and strained communications across its expanding channel network. To improve profitability and customer experience, Eurofiber needed a user-friendly online ordering portal with real-time integration into its central systems (Exact Synergy/Globe and Cocon) and a look-and-feel consistent with its website.
Using Mendix and an agile, three-phase on‑prem development approach, Eurofiber implemented an Online Channel Portal that lets customers and partners order without sales‑support intervention and receive instant service and order-status updates. The solution reduced pressure on sales support, enabled more than 20,000 automated zip-code checks that had previously been done by phone and email, and set Eurofiber on course to capture the majority of orders through the portal, improving operational agility and scalability.
