DLM Finance Improves Reliability with Automated Testing and DevOps

DLM Finance built Trade Manager, a Mendix-based portfolio and treasury management system used by fund managers for valuation, risk, regulatory reporting and social impact metrics. Because treasury is a high‑risk, heavily audited function, DLM needed to maintain ISAE 3402 Type II certification while delivering multiple annual enhancements; manual testing was slow, error-prone and hard to scale across a certified multi‑tenant application.

DLM adopted the Mendix Application Test Suite (ATS), assigning DevOps ownership of quality and requiring ATS test scripts for any audit‑impacting functionality and a rule that all tests must pass before deployment. Running nightly test suites that prove access controls and auditing, ATS halved testing effort, sped up releases (10–12 per year), provided the compliance evidence auditors require, and enabled DLM to expand automated coverage into more mission‑critical features.
