Christina Faulkner, an in‑house Mendix developer who started from an IT apprenticeship, was tasked with modernizing these workflows to save time and money and make systems more user friendly.
Using Mendix’s visual platform and community resources, Christina built a project support portal and an intuitive booking app to automate bookings and replace manual Excel and paper processes. The in‑house apps — developed collaboratively with center staff and contractors — have cut administrative effort and costs, increased user satisfaction, and freed workers to focus on children rather than paperwork.
