CBR Ensures Road Safety by Modernizing Legacy Systems with Low-Code

CBR, the Dutch road safety and driver licensing organization, faced major challenges with legacy systems, fragmented development tools, and strict GDPR and security requirements. To modernize its IT landscape and improve data management, CBR turned to Mendix and its low-code platform to deliver applications faster and simplify operations.

Mendix helped CBR build 14 applications that centralize customer data and streamline workflows, including C-NIT, an employee portal, and trainer administration tools with Chamber of Commerce integration. The results include faster development, better traceability, improved security by design, and around 40% of CBR’s IT landscape already rebuilt in Mendix, with the rest targeted for completion by 2028.
