BDC faced a complex modernization challenge: more than 400 integration points and a need for greater IT agility to support a customer‑centric lending operation. The bank needed a core lending system for loan origination, administration and disbursement that would cut processing time and overhead while enabling rapid user feedback and more agile processes.
BDC rebuilt its workflow using Mendix alongside Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and FICO Blaze Advisor, creating an interactive architecture that supports quick user feedback. The new solution was delivered in 8 months with a team roughly one third the previous size, shrinking the original 30‑month timeline and reducing processing time and costs while making the bank more nimble and customer focused.
