A Mendix Case Study
BAM Infratechniek, part of Royal BAM Group, delivers design, construction and maintenance of cable and pipe networks across Europe. The company needed rigorous, verifiable weld documentation to trigger invoicing and preserve millions in contract revenue, but its ad-hoc Excel/Word and Microsoft Access tools were inflexible, error-prone and slowed project billing.
Working with Mendix and implementation partner FlowFabric, BAM built BLINQ, a browser-based weld-documentation app, with a prototype delivered in three weeks and a proof-of-concept in two days. BLINQ automates the weld process, improves staff efficiency by about 20%, boosts revenue capture, speeds training, and gives BAM better quality control and the flexibility to extend features like a mobile reporting app.
