beegy, a German energy management solutions provider, required a robust and secure OTA software update solution for their edge devices, including their HERMINE platform for electric vehicle charging. With an ambitious schedule and limited development capacity, they needed a low-risk, low-effort solution to enable secure updates and new functionality after deployment. They selected Mender as their over-the-air update partner.

Mender provided a hosted OTA solution that delivered reliable A/B deployments with rollback capabilities. This allowed beegy to integrate updates with little effort, leveraging Mender’s stable client, managed backend, and tight integration with the Yocto ecosystem. By using Mender, the beegy team could focus on their core expertise while the solution handled secure updates and the ability to run proxy deployments. The vendor's excellent support and open-source foundation provided significant benefits without the need for infrastructure maintenance.
