WorkVision Completes Open Source Audits in Real Time Using WhiteSource

WorkVision, a Tokyo-based software provider of SaaS solutions for sales, HR and industry-specific systems, was struggling to manage a rapidly growing number of open source components across its cloud products. Manual audits were time-consuming, error-prone and often done late in development, creating license-compliance and security risks that led to rework, delays and high verification effort.

WorkVision implemented Mend’s SCA to generate accurate, real-time inventories, identify license issues and surface vulnerabilities with remediation and upgrade advice (scanning hashed data without uploading source code). Post-deployment, audits that once took about a week now take ~15 minutes, vulnerability verification and updates that took ~8 hours can be done in ~5 minutes, and previously labor-intensive listing and license checks (12+16 hours) are reduced to a fraction of the time, enabling developer self-remediation and freeing security teams for higher-value work.
