Case Study: adesso mobile achieves automated open-source security and compliance with Mend

A Mend Case Study

Preview of the adesso mobile Case Study

adesso mobile Uses Mend to Secure Their Customers’ Open Source Libraries

adesso mobile is a German mobile solutions provider with over 250 employees across 13 locations, serving more than 100 customers worldwide. The company was manually producing inventories of open source components for many projects and platforms — a slow, error-prone process made more complex by contracts that often prohibit moving source code out of Germany or the EU and by the need to support many languages and package managers.

adesso mobile chose Mend because it supports broad language coverage and can scan without moving source code, and integrated it into TeamCity so ~150 developers scan on each commit. Mend enforces policies that block vulnerable or non-permissive libraries (failing builds), provides remediation guidance, and automatically generates inventories — shifting security left, cutting review times from hours to minutes, and giving adesso mobile and its customers clear, trustworthy visibility into included open source.
