A MemSQL Case Study
Tradelab, a France-based programmatic marketing platform that handles real-time bidding for hundreds of customers, was hampered by data latency from a NoSQL database. Their ad-serving stack required a true real-time solution able to keep more data in memory and analyze relational and JSON data together to support heavy mixed read/write workloads for bidding, impressions, and campaign tracking.
Tradelab replaced the NoSQL layer with MemSQL, a distributed, fully relational SQL database that scales horizontally and is MySQL wire compatible. The change enabled mixed reads and writes at scale, boosted system performance by about 30x to millisecond response times, reduced latency and cost, and delivered faster insights and more efficient, accurate ad campaigns for Tradelab’s customers.
