Association for Women in Science Reach More Members with CommUnity

The Association for Women in Science (AWIS) needed a better way to connect its more than 5,000 members, especially those not active in one of its 25 local chapters, and wanted an online community that could support peer networking and chapter engagement. They turned to MemberClicks and its MC Professional association management software, paired with the CommUnity platform, to meet those needs.

MemberClicks implemented CommUnity with tight integration to AWIS’s member database, making it easier to segment members, manage access, and create new features like a searchable speakers bureau. The result was a more connected membership across the U.S., easier community management for a small staff, and more than 300 active members in CommUnity since October, helping AWIS deliver support, discussion, and engagement at scale.
