The West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) promotes the city’s revitalized downtown—bringing together residents, merchants, and visitors around dining, arts, and entertainment. As downtown activity and visitor traffic (including a recent influx from the new Brightline rail service) grew, the DDA faced the challenge of finding and engaging the right social influencers and audiences to drive awareness without wasting time or resources.
Using Meltwater’s Social Influencers Platform, the DDA segmented and targeted prospective influencers, monitored media in real time, and shared alerts and reports directly with staff and the board. The result was faster, more confident influencer partnerships, more effective outreach to neighboring markets like Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and better measurement and accountability of PR efforts—saving time while increasing local engagement.
