A Meltwater Case Study
The US Business Leadership Network (USBLN) is a national nonprofit based in Alexandria, Virginia, that works to bring people with disabilities into the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace. With a small budget and limited staff, USBLN struggled to highlight partner programs in the media: finding and contacting qualified local journalists was time-consuming, leaving little capacity for social media or trend monitoring.
USBLN adopted Meltwater’s media-monitoring dashboard and influencer database to centralize PR tasks, receive daily topic and mention alerts, and build personalized media pitches. The platform cut down on legwork, made local reporter research much faster, and helped USBLN capture important coverage (including a Politico mention), enabling the team to fulfill many PR functions despite limited resources and raise partner awareness more efficiently.
