A Meltwater Case Study
The Warrior Project is a South African social-justice nonprofit that provides a free online legal helpline and links to police, counseling and shelters for women affected by gender-based violence. At launch the team faced an urgent need to get resources into the hands of those who needed them most, keep drip-feeding relevant journalists, and track outreach traction.
Using Meltwater’s Influencer Contact Management tool, The Warrior Project sent four highly targeted press releases in one month, generating 18 online articles with a collective potential reach of 117 million and immediate increases in call-center and WhatsApp use. The platform helped them identify relevant journalists and influencers, distribute content quickly and monitor uptake — yielding about 1,000 website visits in month one and over 30 ambassador sign-ups.
