The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) is an independent statutory body that oversees animal welfare and the integrity of racing participants across Queensland. With a two‑person media and communications team and no dedicated marketing resource, QRIC faced the challenge of keeping industry participants and internal stakeholders informed in a rapidly evolving media landscape—where news and important conversations increasingly live on social channels as well as print, online and broadcast.
QRIC implemented Meltwater’s integrated media and social monitoring platform, including a mobile app that delivers a daily, code‑segmented newsletter, real‑time alerts, social listening and proactive support. As a result, staff receive timely morning and on‑the‑day updates, can track social and news trends, rapidly gauge media impact, better inform stakeholders and demonstrate the integrated effect of their communications and programs.
