A Meltwater Case Study
Kongelig Norsk Båtforbund (KNBF), Norway’s largest recreational boating interest organization, wanted to become more visible in the media and drive more traffic to its website. To support this goal, KNBF used Meltwater’s media monitoring and PR tools to track mentions of its own organization, local boating associations, and key boating topics.
Meltwater helped KNBF monitor specialist magazines, identify relevant journalists and opinion leaders, and build targeted media lists for segmented press releases. This gave KNBF a clearer view of how its issues were covered, improved outreach to aligned journalists, and supported campaigns such as promoting mandatory life jackets at sea by showing how many articles had been published and by whom.
