Case Study: Amnesty International Australia achieves streamlined communications and amplified advocacy impact with Meltwater

A Meltwater Case Study

Preview of the Amnesty International Case Study

How Amnesty International engages supporters, journalists, and influencers from one place

Amnesty International Australia, the national arm of the global human rights organisation, needed to reach and engage diverse audiences to drive long-term advocacy and donations. Their eight‑person brand and communications team was using multiple tools across channels and sought a single platform to coordinate planning, publishing, reporting, influencer identification and journalist outreach to improve efficiency and cross‑team collaboration.

Meltwater provided an integrated suite—media monitoring, social scheduling and listening, influencer analytics (Klear), journalist databases and real‑time dashboards—replacing disparate vendors and centralising workflows. The shared platform streamlined operations, enabled in‑house influencer marketing and made media work part of campaign planning; results include measurable campaign impact (about 5,500 news stories and 5,000 social posts on the Raise the Age effort, seven Twitter trends) and policy commitments from jurisdictions like the ACT and Tasmania.
