Digital Business Lab (DBL), a social media agency serving banking and beauty clients, was tasked by Moroccanoil to introduce its luxury hair and body care line into the highly competitive South Korean market. The main challenge was finding influencers with substantial domestic (not just international) followings who matched strict criteria—true reach, engagement, audience demographics, age, gender and location—so the brand’s message would resonate locally.
DBL used Meltwater’s influencer database and analytics to filter and evaluate large numbers of profiles by demographic and location, supporting end-to-end influencer activations and campaign reporting. The platform also enabled local media monitoring and stakeholder reporting; as a result, social engagement rose by 26.8K and reach increased by an average 272.5K across the campaign versus previous efforts.
