Turnpike Group, a Stockholm-based company creating customized wearables and smartwatches for retail, manufacturing, and hospitality staff, needed a way to make better use of the growing amount of customer data retailers collect. Melon joined as a technological partner to help build mobile apps and connected wearable functionality for the platform, which uses AI, machine learning, computer vision, and cloud services to surface issues that need immediate attention.

Melon developed Android and iOS applications, an Apple Watch app, and firmware, while also supporting Azure IoT-based messaging and device configuration. The solution enables real-time alerts about traffic, queues, shelves, and other store conditions, helping staff act quickly without leaving customer interactions. As a result, Turnpike Group’s platform helps improve customer service, shorten queues, increase staff efficiency, and strengthen retail performance, with deployments for major brands including H&M.
