Sofia International Film Festival (SFF) is an annual film event in Sofia, Bulgaria, that needed a mobile experience to complement its website and help attendees browse the festival program, build their own schedules, follow events, and receive updates. Melon developed native iOS and Android apps pro bono, working within a tight festival timeline and alongside server-side improvements.

Melon delivered intuitive apps with custom UX/UI, filters by theaters, dates, and movies, and support for notifications and trailer streaming. By using a mock server, unit tests, and Swift/Android technologies, Melon helped launch the iOS app in time for opening night and delivered a well-received product that increased user mobility and drove constant user growth.
