Phyre, a Bulgarian startup, wanted to become a key retailer-to-consumer communication channel by replacing bulky loyalty cards with a digital experience. It approached Melon to design and build a mobile app, originally alongside a desktop application, that would organize loyalty cards and let customers browse retailer offers and shopping information.

Melon developed the Phyre mobile app for Android and iOS, delivering UX/UI, custom design, and features for scanning and storing loyalty cards, browsing promotions, and creating shopping lists. The solution evolved from a simple virtual wallet into a richer shopping tool, and usability testing showed strong interest in the catalogues, making them a major app feature. By mid-October 2015, the app was live on both platforms.
