Philips partnered with Melon to develop the Marcom Marketing and Communication Planning Tool (MPT), an ERP component designed to help manage marketing and PR campaign planning, contracts, invoicing, and reporting across multiple countries. As Philips expanded its business through ventures like TP Vision and the wOOx brand, it needed customized planning and financial tools to support new teams and changing requirements.
Melon built and supported a web-based solution using ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, XML, and Microsoft Office Web Components, later adapting it into SaaS for Philips. The result was a centralized system with improved performance, bandwidth efficiency, and a smoother user experience, now used in over 20 countries and active at Philips for more than seven years, while easing strategic planning and reporting for marketing departments.
