OMV BIXXOL partnered with Melon to create an online Flash game that would boost brand awareness and provide an easy-to-track campaign platform across Europe. The challenge was to move beyond a standard rally game and deliver something more original, effective, and relevant to OMV’s motor oil brand while keeping performance, playability, and user engagement strong.

Melon designed, developed, and tested OMV BIXXOL Super City Hero, a Flash game featuring cars, motorcycles, trucks, and a brand-focused storyline around reducing pollution and refilling vehicles with OMV BIXXOL oil. The results exceeded expectations: game plays were more than double the initial forecast, site views and registered users were about 50% higher than projected, ROI was positive, and the game was later reused in campaigns across multiple countries.
