Helikon, a leading Bulgarian book trading company, partnered with **Melon** to build **Magelando for Android**, a fast, intuitive mobile news reader. The main challenge was to deliver an all-in-one app with strong performance across varying connection speeds and older Android devices, while also allowing users to customize their news sources.

**Melon** designed the app with a polished sliding-panel UI and implemented parallel processes to fetch and display content smoothly. The solution later expanded to Android tablets and iOS devices with a fully adapted tablet interface and automated builds. The project achieved over **10,000 downloads** and a **4.5-star rating from 400+ votes** as of Aug. 2014.
