Gearing Up For Growth NewOrbit’s Software Project Management

NewOrbit, a UK-based software product partner with a 30-person team, faced the common scaling challenge of keeping Agile workflows clear and everyone informed as projects multiplied. Cross-team communication gaps — especially between developers using Targetprocess and other staff — plus ad-hoc internal IT requests and onboarding needs made it hard to track work consistently, so NewOrbit adopted MindMeister and MeisterTask from vendor MeisterTask to standardize planning and task management.

Using MindMeister project templates and the MeisterTask integration, NewOrbit turned roadmap items into assigned tasks, created a shared Work Packages board for micro-projects, and implemented Section Actions to auto-assign work on drag-and-drop. MeisterTask’s setup improved meeting productivity, made onboarding faster, closed communication breakdowns with developers, and ensured internal IT requests and small tasks no longer went missing — delivering clearer accountability and smoother project handovers.
