Data Canopy, a hybrid infrastructure provider, faced the challenge of delivering a global network solution for a logistics and manufacturing firm that was experiencing severely slow connection speeds for its users in Mainland China. After months of unsuccessful attempts with other vendors, Data Canopy partnered with Megaport to design a solution using its global Software Defined Network (SDN) and virtual routing service.

Megaport and Data Canopy developed and deployed a custom network design in under a week, connecting from Shenzhen to a Megaport point-of-presence in Hong Kong and routing traffic through a Megaport Cloud Router in Singapore. This solution improved data transmission speeds from 250 kbps to 100 mbps, allowing the customer to resume normal operations. Furthermore, by leveraging Megaport, Data Canopy routinely reduces its customers' cloud egress fees by almost 50%.
