How a French Insurer enhances IT governance

AG2R LA MONDIALE, a leading French social and patrimonial protection group, faced growing IT complexity after multiple mergers and acquisitions, inconsistent databases, and limited visibility into its application landscape. The company needed to enhance IT governance, streamline transformation projects, and improve collaboration across business lines.

Working with MEGA and the HOPEX suite (IT Architecture, Information Architecture, Business Process Analysis and Platform), AG2R developed an Enterprise Data Model, migrated assets to the HOPEX web interface, and published IT maps via the CASSINI intranet. The program consolidated repositories, mapped some 700 applications, enabled decentralised updates by 150 contributors, and supported activity-based costing and faster project integrations—delivering a clear, regularly updated application portfolio and stronger IT governance.
