ARIA - Customer Case Study

ARIA is the IT services organization run by the Lombardy Regional Government, responsible for e-Government, e-Health and e-Procurement programs aimed at digitizing regional services. Faced with growing outsourcing, rising process complexity and limited visibility into the IT landscape, ARIA needed a governance structure and a shared knowledge base to manage services, applications and risks across the Region.

ARIA adopted a TOGAF-based enterprise architecture using MEGA/HOPEX tools and services to map business processes to applications and infrastructure, build a services catalog (expanded to ~700 services) and create an EA Competence Center. The initiative delivered a centralized CMDB and service portfolio, enabling impact analysis, faster incident resolution, better contract and project decisions, and a proactive governance capability that now supports expanded digital strategy and ongoing integration of social and healthcare services.
