Topstone Research, a full-service CRO, needed to build an in-house data management team from scratch while taking over multiple ongoing clinical trials and a rescue study that required importing thousands of legacy records. After vendor selection they chose Medrio’s electronic data capture (EDC) system because it could be set up quickly, didn’t require programming expertise, and would support their growing workload.

Medrio implemented a user-friendly EDC with bulk upload/import capabilities and API integration, enabling Topstone Research to ingest over 20,000 legacy records and run studies across Phase I–IV. As a result, Topstone shortened study build time to under five weeks (versus the industry standard of six–ten weeks), managed multiple simultaneous demands without disruption, and streamlined data management operations.
