Shoe Sensation takes a step in the right direction with Medius AP Automation

Shoe Sensation, a family footwear and apparel retailer with 243 stores across 23 states, faced an AP bottleneck: more than 11,500 monthly utility invoices (electric, water, trash, internet) were processed manually, causing lost or delayed bills, late fees, reconnection charges and unsustainable workloads. To solve this, Shoe Sensation engaged Medius and its Medius AP Automation solution to address the high volume and complexity of invoices.

Medius implemented its AI/ML/OCR-powered AP Automation to capture invoices, automatically match utility bills to contracts, apply tax accrual rules, and route coding and approvals. Implementation finished ahead of schedule and delivered immediate value: accrual time dropped from three days to one, service interruptions were eliminated, coding errors are caught before AP entry, and staff workload and overtime were significantly reduced—delivering measurable efficiency and better visibility for Shoe Sensation thanks to Medius.
