A Medius Case Study

NHBC selects Medius to improve procurement and supplier management systems

The National House Building Council (NHBC), the UK’s leading provider of warranty and insurance for new homes, faced fragmented, manual procurement processes—relying on emails, spreadsheets and paper, lacking centralized contract storage, supplier visibility and a vendor database. In 2016 NHBC selected Medius for an end-to-end e-procurement, e-sourcing, contract management and supplier information management solution to modernize sourcing and compliance.

Medius implemented a fully developed e-procurement system, integrated with NHBC’s Agresso ERP, delivering centralized supplier records, automated contract reporting, pre-qualification questionnaires, project templates and compliance reminders. As a result NHBC has run over 200 procurement projects, now invites three times as many suppliers and achieves twice the response rate, gains clear visibility into supplier financials, performance and pricing, and has freed staff to focus on higher-value work—outcomes Medius helped make possible.
