Bohus Doubled the Performance at Half the Cost

Bohus, Norway's largest nationwide furniture and interior design chain with 59 stores, an online business and about 300,000 supplier invoices a year, needed to centralize and automate accounts payable to reduce manual processing and improve PO-level matching and cost control. To address this, Bohus implemented Medius AP Automation and later upgraded to Medius AP Automation in the cloud, integrating the solution with SAP.

Medius delivered a cloud-based AP Automation platform with PO- and contract-level invoice matching, centralized workflow and strong EDI handling, which raised Bohus’s touchless invoice approval rate to roughly 80–88% (up from around 40% and, in some cases, 20%) and cut AP costs by about NOK 5 million (USD 600K) annually—equivalent to the salaries of ten full‑time employees—while improving reporting, control and processing speed.
