The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust Transforms Cancer Care

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s leading cancer centers, needed a stronger digital infrastructure to support complex anti-cancer treatments. Working with MEDITECH, the Trust sought to move beyond a hybrid of paper records and limited e-Prescribing, which created inefficiencies, access issues, and clinical risk.

MEDITECH implemented its 6.0 solution with Oncology Management, giving clinicians immediate access to patient records, integrated order communications, and clinical decision support. The new system cut chemotherapy prescribing from 15 steps to eight, eliminated response-time issues, improved compliance and documentation, and helped the Trust absorb a 20% rise in workload while maintaining the same staffing levels.
