Ontario Shores puts 99% of questionnaires online with MEDITECH

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, a public teaching hospital, sought to improve outpatient engagement and move towards a paperless environment. They partnered with MEDITECH to implement the Expanse Ambulatory solution, aiming to replace paper forms with online questionnaires that would reinforce their recovery model of care and be easily accessible to both patients and clinicians.

MEDITECH's solution involved developing over 30 standardized online questionnaires and embedding them into the clinical workflow, supported by MEDITECH’s Patient and Consumer Health Portal and its Quick Enroll feature for on-the-spot sign-ups. This initiative resulted in 99% of questionnaires being available online across eight clinics, significantly increasing portal usage and enrollment. The solution improved efficiency, saved time, eliminated paper, and provided clinicians with more upfront patient information to better assess needs and determine appropriate treatment.
