Kingman Regional Medical Center Makes Strides in Value-based Care with MEDITECH

Kingman Regional Medical Center, the largest provider in northwest Arizona, wanted to advance its value-based care strategy while improving clinical quality, patient management, and financial reimbursement. To do so, the hospital partnered with MEDITECH and MEDITECH Professional Services to build a KPI-driven solution using MEDITECH’s registries, Ambulatory solution, and Business and Clinical Analytics tools.

MEDITECH helped KRMC redesign workflows for discrete data capture, create diabetes and wellness registries, and implement dashboards and payer reporting tools to close care gaps and improve documentation. The result was more proactive chronic care management, better quality reporting, and improved payer reimbursement opportunities, including helping KRMC address an estimated $16K per quarter in missed Humana opportunities and achieve 99% accuracy in payer roster reconciliation.
