Case Study: The Arc of Delaware County achieves more direct-care time and streamlined documentation with MediSked Connect

Using technology to generate efficiencies to allow staff to spend more time with the individuals they support

The Arc of Delaware County, a large provider serving over 260 individuals across a county the size of Rhode Island with more than 180 employees, was overwhelmed by antiquated documentation processes that pulled staff away from direct care and compliance needs. To address this, The Arc of Delaware County implemented MediSked Connect — Agency Management Platform in 2014 and later added MediSked’s Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) in 2016 (funded by a BIP grant).

MediSked centralized documentation and real-time charting across the agency, with hands-on vendor support during rollout to tailor reports, daily charting, and ISP formats. As a result, MediSked helped streamline workflows and improve documentation so staff can spend more time delivering services in the community; while no specific metrics were provided, leadership reports the platform is “effective” and has generated clear efficiencies across their large, dispersed operation.
