MediRevv Slashes Backlog of Medical Coding-Related Denials with Ease and Speed at Northwestern Medical Group

Northwestern Medical Group (NMG) was dealing with a large backlog of medical coding-related denials because its coders had to prioritize front-end production coding and edit resolution. MediRevv, using its extended business office and coding support services, stepped in to help NMG clear the backlog and keep internal staff focused on ongoing production work.

MediRevv assigned and scaled a team of coders to work directly in NMG’s system, quickly ramping from four full-time coders to nine and then flexing back down as the backlog was reduced. The project resolved more than 12,000 denials and cut the queue from a high of $7.7M to about $40K, while also identifying denial trends to prevent future issues and improve reimbursement speed.
