A MediQuire Case Study
Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems (SVCHS), a Federally Qualified Health Center serving about 13,000 patients across four clinics, struggled with time-consuming manual chart reviews to identify quality care gaps and meet HRSA and payer requirements. To address this, SVCHS implemented MediQuire’s Morning Huddle Report and Ad-Hoc Reporting Intelligent Registry to bring real‑time quality insights to the point of care.
MediQuire automated care-gap visibility on provider schedules, mapped gaps to grants and payers, and enabled outreach to high‑risk patients, freeing each of SVCHS’s four site coordinators roughly 2 hours per day (equivalent to an 8-hour full‑time position). Since going live in November 2015, MediQuire has driven substantial quality gains—+32 percentage points in adolescent weight assessment and counseling, +30 pp in colorectal cancer screening, +26 pp in breast cancer screening, +7 pp in cervical screening, and +11 pp in chlamydia screening—while positioning SVCHS to maximize pay‑for‑performance and shared savings revenue.
