MediaValet Reduces Port of Portland's Annual IT Support by 600 Hours

The Port of Portland, which manages Portland International Airport, marine terminals and industrial parks, was struggling with an aging on‑premise digital asset library that had grown from 69,000 to 131,000 photos (437GB). The system had become unreliable, inefficient and costly to maintain, prompting a requirement for a centralized, secure, user-friendly cloud DAM with role‑based access, built‑in redundancy, vendor‑managed upgrades and strong training/support.

MediaValet delivered a Microsoft Azure‑based cloud DAM, implemented taxonomy and permission groups, and migrated the Port’s assets to a scalable, triple‑redundant, geo‑replicated platform with an intuitive web UI. The result: faster search and sharing, tighter access control and global access to assets, ongoing unlimited support—and a reduction of roughly 600 annual IT support hours.
