How Emory University uses MediaValet to serve assets across 40 schools and units

Emory University’s Advancement and Alumni Engagement teams support fundraising and communications across 40 schools, units and health partners, but rapid growth left them overwhelmed by asset requests. Storing files on a cluttered shared server created search and access bottlenecks, so the division needed a scalable, secure way for partners to find and use approved assets without routing every request through a central team.

Emory implemented MediaValet as a single, organized DAM with clear naming and category conventions, role-based permissions, and a network of trained “super users” who manage uploads and Branded Portals for events and social content. The result: about 90 active users can self-serve approved assets, the central team’s workload is reduced, adoption and satisfaction are high, and the university continues to expand its use of new MediaValet features.
