Vice Fosters Global Collaboration and Manages Explosive Growth with MediaSilo

Vice Media, a fast-growing global media brand known for original online content and investigative journalism, faced a challenge when its basic in-house video previewer could not support collaboration with external partners or the scale of rising TV and web production. After a 2012 TV deal revealed the need for a more secure, easy-to-use solution, network partners recommended the secure video-sharing platform MediaSilo.

MediaSilo was adopted across Vice Media — replacing the internal player in the U.S. and extending to offices from London to Toronto to Los Angeles — delivering QuickLinks, QuickSites and web-based screening rooms that sped review cycles (avoiding typical two–three hour or full-day waits), tightened security with expiring links/passwords and login/audit controls, and enabled a centralized B‑roll library and easier client collaboration. The result was faster turnarounds, broad internal and partner adoption, reduced reliance on third‑party footage providers, and a scalable, responsive partnership with MediaSilo.
