Starcom Mediavest Group Drive Efficiency for Yahoo’s Campaign with MediaMath Partnership

Starcom Mediavest Group’s Paid Social Ads team ran a multi-country Yahoo Social Editorial campaign to drive large volumes of traffic to Yahoo content while hitting strict cost-per-visit (CPV) targets. The challenge was coordinating real-time activation across multiple markets (initially five, later expanding) and improving media efficiency at scale after an already successful first phase.

To solve this, SMG partnered with MediaMath and used MediaMath Social’s Auto-Post Promotion and Auto-Optimisation to automatically promote posts showing strong organic performance and optimize toward CPV goals in real time. The result: overall CPV fell 25% below targets (50% of target in France), and the campaign scaled to 44M+ unique users, 286M impressions and more than 20M clicks while streamlining activation and increasing efficiency.
