The University of Iowa partnered with MedHub to replace its existing enterprise residency management system and better integrate all residency and fellowship programs under GME oversight. The university needed a GME-focused platform built for large, complex organizations with specialized workflows, strong security controls, auditable IRIS extracts, and the ability to manage thousands of users and trainees across multiple affiliates.

MedHub deployed its residency management system across all programs using a streamlined implementation process and added institution-specific integrations, including an Oracle interface for internal medicine scheduling and delivery rules for anesthesia residents and faculty. As a result, University of Iowa reported increased efficiency, higher-quality data, reduced redundant effort, improved audit response, and more intuitive workflows, while managing 62 programs, 763 trainees, 3,000+ faculty and staff, and over $75 million in reimbursable Medicare revenue through the platform.
