Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy Masters Scheduling Experiential Pharmacy Education with eValue

Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy needed a better way to manage the complex scheduling of introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences for hundreds of students each year. Before working with MedHub’s E*Value platform, the team relied on manual spreadsheets and tedious data entry to coordinate roughly 1,024 APPEs and 650 IPPE placements annually.

With MedHub’s E*Value, Samford University automated scheduling, student preferencing, grades, evaluations, reminders, and tracking for site visits and preceptor activity. The school says scheduling time has been cut by at least half, accuracy has improved, and students have responded positively to having more control over their experiential plans; the system also supports low-score documentation and future educator scorecard reporting.
