Case Study: Providence Hospitals boosts execution and patient satisfaction with MedeAnalytics Performance Management

A MedeAnalytics Case Study

Preview of the Providence Hospitals Case Study

Providence Hospitals Improves Strategic Planning, Transparency and Productivity

Providence Hospitals, a 304-bed health system in South Carolina, faced leadership turnover and lacked a formal way to track and execute strategic and operational goals, leaving critical initiatives to get lost in emails and hallway conversations. To automate planning, integrate disparate data, assign accountability, and get real-time progress alerts, Providence turned to MedeAnalytics and its Performance Management solution.

MedeAnalytics Performance Management provided a web-based platform to automate plans, consolidate data, assign tasks and alert leaders in real time, driving a cultural shift toward transparency and accountability. As a result, Providence increased goal execution by more than 25%, reduced average length of stay from 5.8 to 5.5 days, achieved 90th-percentile HCAHPS scores and 100% on heart attack core measures, improved targeted HCAHPS areas by over 60%, increased OR surgical volumes by 12%, maintained an A bond rating, and implemented CPOE.
