U.S. Renal Care achieves 75% site adoption of eConsent

U.S. Renal Care ran a phase 4 trial enrolling elderly patients with Anemia ESKD across 40+ dialysis centers and 476 site personnel, but faced a tight enrollment window and a participant population largely unfamiliar with electronic consent. To meet these challenges they partnered with Medable and planned to use Medable’s Total Consent eConsent solution to streamline on-site consenting and accommodate mid-trial needs like Spanish-language materials.

Medable built, tested, and completed UAT in two weeks and launched the study, enabling early First Patient In and rapid mid-trial addition of Spanish translations. The result: 75% of elderly participants opted to use Total Consent and cited a preference for it over paper, 476+ site users adopted the platform, and both site staff and investigators reported high satisfaction with Medable’s solution and support.
