Case Study: MetalMoro achieves fast, accurate CNC production with MecSoft Corporation VisualMILL

MetalMoro - Customer Case Study

MetalMoro, a Brazilian manufacturer of high-performance racing cars, faced a manufacturing challenge when designing a new complex flange to connect the engine and transmission for their MRX model. Programming their CNC machine to produce this intricate part manually was nearly impossible and threatened to be too time-consuming and inaccurate. Their CAD software vendor, MecSoft Corporation, was contacted to provide a CAM solution.

MecSoft Corporation, through its distributor MAX3D, implemented their VisualMILL CAM software as an add-in for MetalMoro's existing SolidWorks CAD system. This allowed engineers to program the CNC directly within their familiar design environment. The proof of concept and first successful part were completed in under 63 hours, resulting in an accurately manufactured flange and meeting MetalMoro's goal of a fast and precise production process.
